So how many of you play, or have played the Total War series?
I think Rome: Total War and it's expansions were revolutionary. The 3D battles were brilliant and you could use real-time tactics to outwit your opponent.
The representation of Europe on the world map was quite accurate and it felt great to resist the Romans with the Greek city states, and the expansion of the Germanic tribes and all. Each faction had its own distinct culture which gave the game so much variety.
Medieval 2: Total War lets you play the Crusades, discover the new world and start colonizing, representing imperialist multiculturalism..
The latest one, Empire: Total War looks awesome. Amazing naval battles, entirely new concept of trade and colonization.
It's so historically accurate, it even has the Marathas, and the Europeans can come to India and drain her dry, get rich quickly like they did years ago...

It's a must for any history buff. So how many of you play it?
