It's not that hard nowadays to obtain WWII memorbilia, but what to collect is another question. While daggers, hats, and uniforms are neat and unique items to own, they usually are fairly pricy and harder to find. I have been able to find better deals and have it more eaisly obtainable on EBay. EBay does not allow any sale of the swastika unless it was currency or postal stamps only. So there is a market there for WWII German coins. While coin stores sell these coins (if they even have them) for around $15-$100 a piece, Ive been able to find on EBay for $3! A very cheap alternative to own something from WWII. Very popular at the ANA's as well.

Prices vary usually due to types of coin because you can buy WWII German Nazi coins in copper, aluminum, zinc, silver and brass. Prices range on ebay $3-$40 (plus shipping, some sellers even offer free shipping) a piece on EBay depending what type of coin you want to buy.
There are some great sellers on Ebay that sell high quality and inexpensive items like:
http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/theleato
http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Seattle-Stamps-Covers-and-Coins_Germany-3rd-Reich

But usually if you go to EBay and type "nazi coin" it will pull up a list and you can shop for yourself. Usually to find the good deals, I will go to the "Buy It Now" section and sort the list "Price + Shipping: Lowest First"  This will make the cheapest items first so you dont have to play around with expensive shipping charges that some sellers charge. EBays German Nazi coin market is better than any store or online store out there with way better deals. If you look hard enough you can probably find a coin for $3 which includes shipping, thats a steal!

It's really a funny feeling when you hold something that some solider or even Hitler himself might have held. Unlike hats, uniforms or even daggers, they usually only have 1 owner while a coin is passed around, who knows whos hands they have been in, and places traveled. With all the movies coming out about Hitler and everything getting over 70 years past now, German WWII coins are now antiques and are very much undervalued and are sure to skyrocket soon.
The Taboo is will always be there which will make these coins harder to come by as the years go past and more vauleable in the future.

With the destruction of the coin factories back in WWII and the taboo of owning such coins, get them while you can I say and store them. Ive saved a thousand myself and plan to hold them for 30 more years and sell them when the coins are 100 years old. Which by then, they should be very pricy. I figure that if I can get rid of them in 30 more years for just $10 a piece, (which would be the low end giving the coins historical value and also that some people already charge $10 today to buy at some places) thats a way better investment than even the goverment offers.

The one only downside on EBay and buying coins that protray a swastika, the sellers cant sell to France, Germany, Poland and Austria. Everyplace else is fair game though. Guess you just cant send the coins back where they were made, funny huh.

One side note, if you have any kids doing WWII research for a school project, bringing one of these coins to class when they do their speech basically guarantees an A. This has worked for 4 of my family members. Being once real currency for an entire country in combination with WWII study,  schools/teachers  usually have no problem letting kids show these off, even though it protrays the Swastika. With its historical value, the teachers themselves are usually more interested in the coin than the students.
