Liberty

The state must clearly define what are destructive activities to the whole, and segregate them to areas of specialized function.

In a modern state, there is a "one size fits all" approach, in that the bureaucratic state attempts to establish a single profile of legal behavior, and will react suddenly to deviations from this according to the political trend at the time. Our solution is to have each state clearly define what its goals are according to local tradition, make these goals clear, and then define the few things that contradict these goals enough to be forbidden. In a bureaucratic state, everything not regulated by law is forbidden; in a National Socialist state, what is forbidden is made clear, and everything else is viewed as acceptable.

Certain activities fall into the middle between "goals" and "anti-goals"; these are behaviors engaged in by a minority of the population which, if given appropriate space, do not affect others. However, for this to occur, these behaviors must be segregated. Homosexuality, drug use, and loud or rough lifestyles require their own spaces, so that they can be conducted without intruding on the lives of others, and so that those who live more conservative lifestyles are not forced to share the same space with those who act according to a conservative ideal.

Outside of what is opposed to the state goal, the individual must be given great liberty.

If an activity does not conflict with the goals of the society at large, and is not of the type to be segregated from the normal population, it is acceptable. A healthy state rewards those who excel in logical ways, and has no need to go on crusades against the others, especially if its social system is balanced enough to neutralize parasites and thus be able to afford a group where not everyone must follow a strict, linear goalset. Personal liberty is an important goal of National Socialist governments, and it is the reason we embrace fascism: authority cannot be avoided, so it must be made rational, and with the negative actions out of the way, all else is accepted.

It is not the role of government to legislate the morality of the individual.

Democratic states evolve toward having governments which take the role of babysitter or in loco parentis; since there is no social consensus about what is a positive goal, democracies obsess about negatives and are constantly trying to "prevent" them by utilitarian means. This ultimately creates a descending order which becomes introspective and intolerant, and results in a public double standard by which some activities are not legal, but are to varying degrees accepted because a significant portion of the population engages in them. As a result, in liberal democracies, the threat is no longer from government but from unofficial boycotts by others when one has taboo opinions or behaviors.

A fascist state does not legislate morality, but puts into place a social order where only those of good character, strength and intelligence succeed; if one is not doing what is expressly forbidden, there is nothing to fear. This is the opposite of liberal democracies, where all "freedoms" are guaranteed, but unpopular thoughts gain retribution, and laws change according to the whims of the voting mass, who tend to behave more as a mob than as leaders.

However, breeding is a privilege.

Eugenics is the human practice of adopting organized breeding to replace natural selection. While eugenics is in concept a great idea, the state cannot, by the very nature of large organizations, take over this role, and must rely on society to implement positive eugenics. Positive eugenics is the process of promoting those who excel, and are of good character and intelligence and strength, and to ensure that they breed more than the average. Negative eugenics is the process of culling those who are failures, by the estimation of that society, and in any forward-thinking state should be limited to removal of obvious defectives: mentally retarded, physically retarded, pedophiles, criminals. In most cases, if the person can care for themselves, sterilization is all that is called for; criminals require execution not as a punishment, but as a means of insuring they do not trouble others.
