09/10/2007: "Israel's existence uncertain"

Only 57 per cent of respondents said it was safer for Jewish people to live in Israel than in the West, compared to 39 per cent who said it was safer in the West or amounted to the same thing.

Although 86 per cent felt Israel was a good place to live and 86 per cent described their mood as "good" as opposed to "bad", 72 per cent of respondents said they were dissatisfied with the security situation in the country.

When asked if they "felt certain that Israel will exist in the distant future", 25 per cent of respondents said no and 74 per cent of the respondents said yes, according to the results published in the Yediot Aharonot newspaper.

[ In order to survive, Israel needs the full population of world Jewry. Right now, it is dependent on checks sent from the West in order to survive, but if it is able to stand on its own, will provide eternal safety for the Jewish people which is something any open-minded Nazi, liberal, conservative or anarchist can agree is a Good Thing. But Israel cannot survive as a state divided. ]
