09/18/2007: "Pesticides cause depression but are still profitable"


National and international policies restricting the pesticides that are most toxic to humans may have a major impact on world suicides, according to new research. Sri Lanka's import restrictions on the most toxic pesticides were followed by marked reductions in suicide.

[ Under our current system, this will never get changed, because it's part of freedom for people to get rich at the expense of all of us. We need a fundamental change. This is only one of the many disadvantages to pesticides. ]
