11/10/2007: "LA passes symbolic ban on racial slur"

The LA City Council today passed a resolution that bans the n-word.

L.A. City Councilman Bernard Parks introduced the symbolic resolution calling on residents not to use the racial slur.

Parks says the N-word implies somebody who's lazy, stupid and doesn't speak proper English.

[ Banning symbols always makes reality better. I have banned all mention of death, and now I am immortal. ]

His definition describes a good portion of the Blacks I've met and known, but not all of them. This won't stop them one bit from using the term in reference to one another.
