02/09/2008: "More neurotoxins floating around in atmosphere"

A federal appeals court said Friday the Bush administration ignored the law when it imposed less stringent requirements on power plants to reduce mercury pollution, which scientists fear could cause neurological problems in 60,000 newborns a year.

[ It's good we're not dropping the ball on this intensely destructive neurotoxin, which is also found in the new "green" fluorescent bulbs that we're JUST SO SURE will not get thrown out car windows, dropped in vacant lots, and left abandoned in rotting buildings like incandescent bulbs. ]
