04/14/2008: "Hero didn't want you to make choices"

Vidal Sassoon, the hairdresser, has recounted his early days as a foot-soldier for an underground anti-fascist group dedicated to wiping out Sir Oswald Mosley's far-Right movement after the Second World War.

The 43 Group was dedicated to breaking up meetings of these "Mosleyites", through violent means if necessary, and a 17-year-old Sassoon was an enthusiastic street-fighter.

Sassoon was a Jew who was more loyal to his Jewish identity than the nation that was hosting his presence. If it was Mosley going around smashing up meetings of his political opponents, then he would be portrayed as terrorists who hate freedom and democracy. Yet, if its a bunch of subversive Jews who do it to a political part that represents the national interests of the British, its A-OK.
