04/19/2008: "Children's book on cosmetic surgery - sick"

A new picture book about plastic surgery aims to explain why mom is getting a flatter tummy and a 'prettier' nose.

[ This just further entrenches the idea that cosmetic surgery is a necessity. Why is this so much more acceptable than eugenics, which makes people beautiful and smart painlessly? Plenty of reasons from lack of profiteering to fear of a preference for nordic features - I know. ]

Surgery doesn't pass along beneficial traits. It is a poor illusion of improvement.

Eugenics naturally promotes better traits to future generations.
