THE credit crunch could lead to violence and rising tensions in our communities as migrants and Britons face fewer jobs, a chief constable warned yesterday.

Vietnamese drug dealers are gaining Bulgarian passports to make it easier to get into Britain as EU citizens. Similarly, Russians are posing as Poles, she said.

Julie Spence also indicated the true number of East European workers who have flocked here could be more than 1.4million.

She said she didn't trust "poor" Government figures and said the number of Eastern European
workers could be underestimated by up to two-thirds.
