07/05/2008: "Hitler waxwork decapitated"

The rendering of Adolf Hitler in wax at the Berlin branch of Madame Tussauds provoked controversy even before it opened. And shortly after the museum opened to the public this morning, a 41-year-old man tore the head off the figure.

[ Some people are concerned that the very sight of a model of Hitler will bring a resurgence of Hitler worshipping. ]

Blind religosity often causes one to go ballistic over symbols. Funny how "Gay" Parades are sacred and the toddler scribblings of "Modern" artists are highly sought-after yet the most respectable of the major WWII leaders is in "poor taste."
