08/25/2008: "Eisenhower warns us of the military industrial complex."

[ Eisenhower brutally killed millions of Germans after WWII, leaving many exposed and starving in fields cordoned off with barbed wire. He is no friend of nazis, yet in this short video of one of his presidential speeches he shows that he was not wholly corrupt, and warns us of a development that has now come to pass. It is in the interests of the military industrial complex to start and perpetuate military conflicts, at great cost financially and in lives to both the nation paying for the weapons, the men fighting and innocent civilians sometimes apparently deliberately massacred (as recently in Afghanistan for example. Privatised arms companies and armies are one of the most terrifying phenomenons of the modern day. ]
