In a chilling echo of Herod's massacre of the innocents, Rona Luke and Kipiyona Belas said the women smothered their sons at birth to force an end to the tribal conflicts.
"All the women folk agreed to have all male babies born killed because they have had enough of men engaging in tribal conflicts and bringing misery to them," they said.
Mrs Luke, from Agibu village, said: "It's a terrible, unbearable crime, but the women had to do it.
"The women have really being forced into it as it's the only means available to them as women to bring an end to the terrible fights that have brought death and destruction to our villages for the past 20 years," she said.
[ The article suggests they will die out if they do this. In fact it is lack of females reproducing that makes people die out - like what is happening here in the west. So as long as they can find a male to impregnate them all (never difficult to find a volunteer) they can certainly have a future as a tribe of women. That would be fascinating. Women aren't always opposed to war. Historically the Spartan women and many other white tribes (even including ridiculously many British women in WWI) have pushed men to fight wars or strongly encouraged them. Perhaps that was because they were more convinced than these natives that it was worthwhile and that their side would win. Wars are horrible, but unavoidable as long as there are things that people are determined to fight over. FUnny actually, anti-nazi himself said that he isnt smart enough to debate with any of us because he doesn't know enough of the matter( wich doesn't suprise me since he is a 14 year old infant).
