02/03/2009: "In a changing world, Portland remains overwhelmingly white"

As the nation's first African American president prepares to take office this week, metro Portland - with its overwhelmingly white population and leadership - is demographically out of step with 2009 America.

Among the nation's 40 largest metro areas, only four - none of them in the West - are whiter than Portland, new census figures show.

"Oregon was virulently racist for much of its history," says Bragdon, the Metro leader. "And if you don’t have a large minority population, that becomes self-reinforcing over time."

Portland will grow less white and more diverse - just more slowly than the rest of the country, experts say. Latinos in particular will play a much bigger role in the metro area's future.

[ The journalist who wrote this finds it horrendous that Portland is so white. Apparantly the jounalist also attempted to contact the employers of the many people who criticized the article, trying to get them fired! ]

About that commie JEWrnalist who tried to get people fired.

You always hear democratically-minded people claiming that a democracy is better, because there are no secret police/SS/Gestapo. In a democracy, you have no recourse against commies with vendettas against White people, whereas in Nazi Germany, the SS would protect people with our types of opinions. The secret police in democracies, such as corporations and leftists, are much more secret than the SS/Gestapo. In democracies, the suppression of dissenters is much more covert and subtle, whereas in so-called totalitarian states (every ideology is totalitarian to some extent, so I find the adjective to be meaningless), you know who the enforcers are and what the rules are.
