Thousands of failed asylum seekers are escaping deportation because the Government has not built enough immigration detention centres, MPs will warn this week.
The powerful Public Accounts Committee will also state that Labour's inability to deport failed asylum seekers is costing Britain an astonishing £600million a year.
The number of people claiming asylum last year rose by 10 per cent to 25,670.
