Civilization

To build a civilization requires leaving behind a safe existence for an uncertain one. The basic requirements of life such as food and shelter are easily obtained, and such things as technology, learning and social organization are not necessary for survival. Those who build civilizations take on an "ascendant" mindset that, much as each species in nature adapts to its environment through striving and natural selection, rests on the principle of humans existing in harmony with their environment and selecting themselves toward a higher grade of humanity with every generation.

Since this ascendant ideal involves leaving the safe for something that is qualitatively greater, civilization builders have an automatic consensus between them that they are willing to sacrifice their comfortable existences, even their lives, in striving for something better. While this consensus exists, the civilization is strong, even if in a stable state, but when it is lost, self-interest at the expense of the collective becomes the rule, and it fragments internally, leading to a decay which either destroys it outright or exposes it to external predation.

There are many symptoms of this decline. Motivation for financial gain, short-term thinking including unchaste behavior, internal division on fundamental questions of rule, dysgenics including admixture of foreign races, and a strong bureaucratic central government are all symptoms of a republic in decline. None of these are its cause; the cause is that it lost an ideal shared among its leadership, and thus is divided against itself on the basic questions of rule. As with collapse of natural systems, when a society is dying the signs are not visible until right before the end.

When consensus fails, the first thing that declines is clear leadership, since there is no longer common agreement on a goal; its place is taken by the idea that each individual will do what benefits himself, because civilization is assumed as the foundation to all future. At this point, the society has become self-referential, and it adopts a liberal democratic system of ruling or equivalent. These systems promote the equality of all people and thus cannot select for better humans among them, nor can agree on a collective direction; while it may take some centuries, throughout history they have all collapsed in ruin.

Our preference is to rebuild civilization around long-term goals that are healthy and harmonious with nature, and in order to do so we will eliminate the politics of internal division, mainly liberal democracy and the partisanship of special interest groups that it brings. The future society of humanity, should it survive, will have strong leadership that uses ascendant ideals to override the many voices in conflict that produce the neurotic government of liberal democracies. As human society is currently organized globally, with counterdependent economies, any future system must implement some form of global rule that allows both a strong central power and diversity of local cultures, beliefs and systems of government.
